What to do about…
- A bite or scratch from a dog or monkey
- Wash it with soap under running water for fifteen minutes, then get to a clinic the same day. Rabies is present in Bali and post-exposure treatment is straightforward if you go straight away.
- A lost or stolen passport
- Get a police report first — your embassy will need it, and so will your insurer. Then contact your consulate in Denpasar. Keep a photo of your passport and visa in your phone and a paper copy somewhere separate from the original.
- A road accident
- Move out of the traffic, photograph everything before it is moved, clean any graze thoroughly, and call us. Then call your insurer the same day.
- Anything at all
- Message us. It is very often something we can fix in one call, and there is no such thing as bothering us — it is what we are here for.
